Marc Oria

Marc Oria is on the leading edge of America’s coastal rowing movement. In the first US coastal national team trials for Beach Sprints, Marc’s athletes won 3 of the 4 available senior categories. He has been an instructor on all three of the USRowing coastal coach certification courses, and led the 2022 South American coastal coaching certification course in Lima, Peru. As an athlete, Marc is an A-finalist in the quad at the World Rowing Coastal Championships and is a former Spanish National Team rower. Marc is also an avid Adventure Race competitor and cyclist. In addition to his athletic achievements, Marc holds a PhD in Neuroscience and is a Reiki practitioner. His intelligent and creative approach to training helps athletes find consistent success within the dynamic demands of coastal racing.

Ben Booth

Ben Booth is a pioneer in US coastal rowing. In 2015, he was the first athlete to represent the USA in the World Rowing Coastal Championships. He is a member of the first USRowing coastal committee and an instructor on the USRowing coastal coaching certification courses. Ben has attained A-finals World Championship finishes in both the single and the quad, and holds a number of course records in long distance coastal races in the US and abroad. Ben also lived for many years in Zen Temples, trained Kung Fu and Tai Chi in full-time training centers in China, and studied mind-body arts in India. He integrates these disciplines into his training methodology to unlock the full potential of the coastal rowing athlete. Well known for pushing the limits, Ben is master of rough water, and coaches his athletes into finding the hidden advantages in all situations. He has been a professional coach and educator since the early 2000s.
